McClard’s Killer BBQ Reunion

This week, I had a great reunion at McClard’s BBQ in Hot Springs, Arkansas with Jan Meins, author of the early-90s sensational story “Murder in Little Rock” (St. Martin’s Press) that also became a TV movie. Jan mentored me back then when I was co-writing another infamous LR murder. Later, we both left Arkansas and thankfully reconnected last year in the early days of covid. Once again she became my mentor on another project, and this time everything fell into place. I’m so lucky to have such a talented and tenacious friend from the past, who’s now in the present. 03.16.21
